Lifetime Planner

Lifetime financial modelling tool to verify your financial security

The Lifetime Planner helps you accomplish your long-term goals. These goals might include retirement, paying for college, or taking a sabbatical from work.

You can try out just about any event that might have a major financial impact on your lifetime plan. For example, you can “model” what would happen if you took some time off work, received an inheritance, sent all your kids to college, or retired early. You can enter these events in your plan and this lets you test different scenarios and see how they could affect your lifetime plan.

The results of your plan can be viewed as a year by year timeline, showing your total inflows, outflows, net worth and a summary of investment, and retirement account balances, assets and debts for the year

The results of the plan can also be viewed as bar or line charts showing the progress of your plan over it's entire term. With separate charts showing investment balances, net worth, salaries and other regular income, total income including investment returns, total expenses including those one-off items, and your savings flow including contributions to and withdrawals from savings, and finally a summary of debt interest and repayments.

All data is stored locally under your complete control and is not accessible by anyone else. Normally you'd need only a single database, but you can create separate databases for different purposes. There is a backup facility, and you have the option of sharing a backup file if needed.

Data can be synchronised across multiple devices of any type, enabling you to use a Windows or Linux machine as a master, backup automatically to Google Drive when any change is made to data, and then for the latest backup to be restored to any other device, desktop, mobile or tablet automatically when the application is opened on that device. For a more detailed explanation on how to set up synchronisation, see: synchronise across devices

The app is free to download. Simply add the version you need to the cart, create an account and a link to download it will be emailed to you.

See here for Windows installation instructions.
